I’ve had a very sore ankle the last couple days. To the point I can’t sleep. Today it was so consistently sore that I called my doctors nurse to discuss.
So I describe whats going on, she’s punching words into the computer and then she gets quiet. Really quiet. Scary quiet.
“Medical protocol suggests you should go to the emergency room immediately.” !!!!!!
Says my symptoms sound like deep vein thrombosis. Basically a blood clot. !!!!!
Well, to make a 4hr story shorter, I don’t have any clots but likely have some arthritis flaring up in the ankle. Fun stuff especially when in vacation to Grand Canyon.
Finally made it up here around 4p and went straight to the big hole in the ground. Wow. Hard to describe.
Camping in Kaibab National Forest. 57degF outside tonight. I guess that’s what 6,000 ft of elevation does for you. Feels like home.
Hamburgers on the grill, bottle of wine with Angela and we’re all in bed by 810p.
All in a days work.
